Donating Time and Expertise to Help Boy in Need
McNeil Engineering donated time and expertise for a family in West Valley that was in need of help. Austin Bennett is a bright and happy eight-year old boy who was diagnosed with a degenerative and ultimately fatal disease, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, in 2008. The community has rallied to help the family stay in their home in West Valley. Brian Warner, S.E., LEED AP, performed structural engineering services to modify roof trusses that would make the addition of an elevator possible in the home. The elevator will allow Austin to move unassisted between the different levels of the house. McNeil Engineering is proud to be involved, along with so many other volunteers, in such a great project and hope the Bennett family will enjoy their home for many years.
